Data Deletion
This is an English translation provided for convenience. The Korean version is the binding text; if the two differ, the Korean version prevails.
Delete directly in the app
Go to Settings → Delete account in the app. Deleting disconnects every connected social account and erases your uploaded photos and videos, stored comments and account information. Deletion runs immediately and cannot be undone.
Posts and comments that are already on a platform live on that platform, not in UpNChat, so you need to delete them there.
Disconnect a social account only
Go to Settings → Connected accounts in the app to disconnect each platform separately. After disconnecting, we stop using that platform's access token and scheduled posts are no longer published to it.
Requests from the Instagram or Threads side
If you remove UpNChat's access or request "data deletion" in Instagram's or Threads' settings, Meta notifies our server. We delete the data we stored for that account (post records and comments) and return, through Meta, a confirmation code and a URL where you can check the status.
Status URL: https://api.upnchat.com/callbacks/meta/data-deletion/status?code=CONFIRMATION_CODE
Requests outside the app
If you cannot access the app, send an "account deletion request" to support@upnchat.com from the email address you signed up with. After verifying your identity we process it within 7 days and let you know the result.
What is deleted and what remains
- Deleted: account information, connected-account information and access tokens, post records, uploaded files, stored comments, device notification addresses
- Kept: a deletion record that cannot identify a person (time and type of processing), and records the law requires us to keep
